Recognising the outstanding contributions of business to the nation

Established in 1994 by the Young Enterprise Trust, the Fairfax Media New Zealand Business Hall of Fame recognises and celebrates individuals who, through enterprise, have made a significant contribution to the economic and social development of New Zealand.

Laureates are admitted to the Hall by the Governor-General at an annual black-tie gala dinner. Each Laureate has a story of enterprise, hard work and success. Most have contributed generously to their communities.

Fairfax and Young Enterprise Trust are proud to announce the 2013 laureates:

- Sir John Anderson
- Sir George Fistonich
- Sir Colin Giltrap
- Sir Dryden Spring
- Hugh Green (1932-2012)
- Mary Innes (1852–1941)
- Val Barfoot (1897–1987) & Maurice Thompson (1907–1968)
