Selection Process
The selection process is run by an independent selection panel, chaired by Sir Eion Edgar and includes Tony Caughey, Michael Barnett, John Lindsay and Fiona Rotherham.
An independent researcher provides a list of potential laureates to the selection panel, with details about their achievements in business and their contributions to their community.
This list comprises individuals that have been nominated by panel members and external persons, individuals who had been previously considered but not selected and any other individual the researcher has identified as potentially being suitable.
Nominations for 2012 Laureates closed on 31 October 2011.
